The Brazil-Austria Cultural Center is a place for expression of Brazilian culture in Vienna. As a part of the Brazilian Embassy, it stands as a source of projection of culture and works by Brazilian artists, as well as a promoter of interaction with Austrian culture and the city of Vienna - where it stands -, becoming a place of coexistence and exchange of experiences among the international community.
The gallery for visual arts is installed in the underground level of the Petit Palais Rotschild, the official residence of the Brazilian embassy. Previously a place for coal deposit, wine cellar, heating systems and other machines operating in a 1890 building, the gallery went through restoration works to come up with an atmosphere for contemporary art.
