Who: Wiener Choro Ensemble, Pascal Lopong and Vesna Petkovic feat Who Man Dog

Where: Sarg Fabrik, Vienna

The Vienna Choro Quintet under the musical direction of the multi-instrumentalists and composers Antôniode Pádua and Marco Antônio da Costa explores the wealth of choro, jazz and classical Brazilian music. In 2020 the ensemble recorded its first album “Viena Brasileira” - a homage to the city of Vienna and its musical tradition. The journey goes from Rio de Janeiro to Vienna and presents the roots of popular Brazilian music (choro, samba and bossa nova), not without giving enough space to the artistic freedom of the quintet. This creates a wonderfully harmonious sound experience from Haydn's aesthetics, African rhythm, polka and jazz influences.

Antonio de Pádua- Trumpet, Cavaquinho, Pandeiro, Marco Antônio da Costa - 7-string guitar, Cavaquinho, Roberta Karin - percussion, João Vitor - flute, Daniel Mesquita - 6-string guitar

Tickets: €19 and €27
